Autumn Qi Chats | Week 9
Do you know how to treat your knees??
This week let’s discuss how you can bring a little love to your knees!
Your knees are the middle man.
Take a look at your anatomy of the knee and discover how your knees are not vascular (don’t get a lot of blood flow) as they’re a joint connecting thigh to lower leg.
This area of the body does well when you stimulate the knee with touch and heat. But nothing is a simple as it sounds.
The knees play a vital role in facilitating movement by acting as hinges that allow for bending and straightening of the legs. This essential joint supports weight-bearing activities and provides stability during walking, running, and jumping. So let’s help you keep these shock absorbers safe!
It’s not magic, it’s science
Massage & heat can be great sources when your knees are not feeling ‘connected’, strong or pain-free. So in today’s video I’ll show you a Tui Na (chinese massage) technique for the knees that can helps with circulation and stimulation for the brain. I will also speak briefly about Moxa, a technique that brings heat to a joint for better movement. You can learn more about moxa by clicking here.
