Autumn Qi Chats | Week 6

Vibration for Connection

This week’s Qi Time chat leads us to talk
about how applied neurology can lessen inflammation and improve immunity!

Do you know your physical body from your Qi body?

There is a disconnect from our bodies and health. We often think it’s the absence of illness. Health is reflected on a functioning body and mind. But we may not realize how deep we can go in our journey for health.

Giving your all the skills for movement, this week of Qigong is my favorite as we dive deeper into our physical training and connect with the Qi body through Yi Nian (Intention), our Lungs & our movement.

Within stillness there is movement

Learning to be silent with the body is one way of connecting but one of my favorite Qigong practices is sound therapy. Play with sound has a connection with the Insular Lobe (the ‘who am I, what is this all about’ part of the brain). We need to feel grounded before the stillness so Qi can settle and flow naturally. Give this week a try to be STILL in your mind, in your calm breathing & your Qigong but before you get there - take some time to Zzzzzzzz or Shooooooooooooo the body with sound therapy!

Neuro-Qi Tip o’the day!

Vibrate into stillness

  • Reconnect with your Qi body: Try the Qigong Posting Challenge

  • Use sound therapy to connect with your insular lobe for mind/body harmony: Try singing/humming as you brush your teeth or wash your hands.
