Winter Qi Chats | Week 6
How in tuned are you?
This week we discuss the effects of the moon cycle and how your Qigong practice can compliment this natural energetic affect.
No man is an island, he is in fact stardust
Somewhere in our ‘evolution’ of man, we lost our connection with the earth and cosmos. We walk among natural sources of energy that can invigorate and balance our own body’s sources. Most of the atoms in our bodies were formed from the elements of stars over billions of years ago. Dust and gas from stars traveled through space and coalesced in the formation of new solar systems, this matter became a part of the Earth we live off. So it turned out that you are in fact, stardust.
Beyond this, the cosmic energies have a magnetic affect on our days and night, winters and summer. It is part of the Tao that we so eagerly learn from in how we move, eat, dress, etc.
Ami Tuo Fo
The ‘Greatest Compassion’ Mantra is a strong connection in our understanding that we are all connected to one another as well as connected to the earth. Ami Tuo Fo is sung with the intention of wishing others well in their lives. This practice of wishing others will returns to us with well wishes. Settling our own nervous system. This practice helps improve brain function and we begin to behave differently, ideally with kindness (One of our greatest modern advances!).
Qigong can be a part in your journey to better your internal system while connecting with the external sources. This is why Yi Nian or ‘intention’ is so important in the practice. Nothing happens immediately and this is why these Qigong practices are meant to be daily or weekly to train and reshape our nervous system, so we can think differently. So we can make better choices for ourselves and others. So we can live healthy and happy.
Neuro-Qi Tip o’the day!
