This week let’s discuss an oldie but goodies - sensory education for the feet!
Your feet need you and you need your feet
Your feet have a direct connection to your brain and your brain to your feet. You need this bi-directional communication to exist for balance, pain down regulation, postural stability and a calm nervous system. But when you’ve been in socks and shoes all season, that connection can get lost.
Don’t forget…
Sensory education should be a TOP priority as it up-regulates the parietal lobe of the brain. This can help with movement and stability in addition to strength. So you need constant reminders to have rocks, balls and other tools that is accessible to you throughout your home. Stimulate those feet everyday for just a moment.
