Spring Qi Chats | Week 9
Your Liver Qi needs some help & your feet may be the answer!
This week we discuss how you can massage and walk your way into Liver flow!
Shi Xuan 十宣穴
During the Spring season, we move our bodies to circulate blood and Qi. For many, it’s common during this season to feel overwhelmed with activities and tasks.. This created constraint on the Liver and can manifest differently for each person but headaches, insomnia (waking between 1am-3am with restless thoughts), eye strain and shoulder/neck pain is common.
So what can we do about this?
Your feet can do a LOT for you and you can do a LOT for your feet. I want to introduce a simple massage utilizing the 10 acupoints of Shi Xuan 十宣穴 . Super simple, just massage the tips of the fingers and the toes. Once in the morning and once in the evening. ‘Shi’ means 10 and ‘Xuan’ mean to spread. This simple massage can help disperse stagnant Qi that ‘settles’ in the fingers and toes.
Too much to do this Spring?
I have been in discussion with many clients and Bamboo Bodies Members who ARE feeling overwhelmed with all the tips and tools to keep healthy - whether you gather your information from Youtube, social media, health books, online experts or your doctor… you don’t have to do much this spring. In fact, to better your health, it’s better to just take it easy and do LESS and WALK IT OFF!
