This week we discuss ways that you can use the floor to your advantage.


The Beauty and the Beast

Do you feel like you’re moving like a creature from the swamp when you get down and up off the floor? Maybe an odd moan escapes you as you work your body to complete the task? I think it’s for this very reason that many of us tend to keep off the floor as our ego gets in the way. Getting down and up off the floor isn’t always going to be pretty but it’s the beast that we need to accept.

 

Playing the Game

 

There was a time when you were too little for the table. A time when the countertop was too high to reach. A time when your legs would dangle from a chair and you could barely brush your feet against the floor. And so… you made do by sitting on the floor beneath you. But when was the last time you put your shoes on while seated on the floor? Or simply lied on the floor to take a break?

We need to revert to our childhood days when the floor was the most inviting place to sit. Give yourself the option to sit on the floor to do a bizarre activity. Pay your bills while seated on the floor. Brush your teeth on the floor (it’ll give you plenty of chances to stand up and sit down again between spits!). What game can you play?
